The Equalizer (like no other piece of equipment) provides differently-abled children and adults an opportunity to play floor hockey, tee ball, golf and basketball. There s even an option that includes a pitch-back net and basketball launcher. The various pieces of sports equipment that can be mounted to the Equalizer use the variable power of strategically placed Bungee cords to provide user-activated assist. Bungees are used to propel the putter, swing the bat and return the hockey sticks to their correct position, and with our option package, shoot a basketball. The Equalizer is fabricated from high-tech aluminum, welded at key support positions and electrostatic epoxy finished. The basic unit comes with everything required for use as both a free-standing or wheelchair-mounted activity center. The floor stand is designed in such a way that it is anchored by the weight of the wheelchair. When wheelchair mounted, the Equalizer is at its mobile best. It even provides the means by which a wheelchair-bound player can actively participate with abled-bodied teammates and competitors. Equalizer floor hockey players have the use of two sticks at the same time, giving them the ability to hit a puck or ball, in virtually any forward direction. The basic Equalizer unit comes complete with the Equalizer frame, floor stand and wheelchair mounting rod and frame clamps.
